Running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis took to Twitter to bid farewell to his fans in New England after signing a three-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.
"Pats Nation: First, I would like to thank Mr. Kraft and his family for giving me an opportunity to live my dreams. Many thanks to Coach Belichick and all the other coaches who help develop me in my career in New England," he wrote.
"How many ways can I thank my dedicated fans for your heart felt love and nfl wholesale support -THANK YOU. Its been a blessing to be a Patriot. MHK player."
Speaking at a community event at Gillette Stadium Thursday, owner Robert Kraft told reporters that losing Green-Ellis hurt him deeply.
“My one personal loss is BenJarvus I really had a deep personal affection for him,” Kraft said. “He really did a great job with us for four years, especially this past year. He was really supportive of me baseball jersey cheap personally. We became good friends and I'm always going to have a special attachment to him. Except when we play Cincinnati, I'm going to be rooting for him big time."
